New Delhi. A meeting of the Full Council of Ministers of the Government of India was held recently, in which the serious situation prevailing in the country and the world was discussed. The meeting has been organized at a time when tension between America and Iran is at its peak and the economic situation is also going through a complex phase. In this meeting, the Prime Minister gave clear instructions to the ministers to speed up the necessary reforms so that the country can face the economic difficulties in a better way. The Prime Minister said that the current global crisis can create challenges for India, but at the same time there are also opportunities. He urged the ministers to be dedicated and carry forward economic reforms while giving priority to national interests. He informed that the government is making strong efforts to ensure development in all sectors, be it energy, agriculture, or industrial sectors.
In the meeting, economic experts and ministers discussed in depth the possible economic impacts of the US-Iranian war. The ministers presented their suggestions regarding rising oil prices, instability in global markets, and trade barriers. The Prime Minister said that focus should be on short-term and long-term strategies so that the country can avoid economic recession.
In addition, the Prime Minister directed the Council of Ministers to make sustained efforts to increase investment, employment generation, and increase the effectiveness of social welfare schemes. He said it is also important to promote transparency and accountability so that public trust is strengthened.
In the meeting, Cabinet members also raised India’s energy security, food security, and economic cooperation at the global level. The Prime Minister said that India has to strengthen its role in the international community and protect its interests amid the global crisis.
