
Mithilesh Yadav Wins 5000m Race in Senior Boys Category at Maharajganj Tehsil Sports Competition
Siswa Bazaar: The two-day tehsil-level sports competition for secondary schools in Maharajganj concluded on Thursday at Bapu Shatabdi Inter College. Mithilesh Yadav secured first place in the 5000-meter race in the senior boys category, while Ravi took second place, and Anoop Nishad Karidih finished third. In the senior girls category, Manisha Sahni emerged victorious, followed by Anjila in second place, and Nidhi Yadav Jahda in third.
The event saw participation from only 11 out of 30 schools in the region. In the junior boys category, Pradeep Kushwaha Jahda won first place, with Pawan Gupta Bali and Nikhil Madheshiya Ardouna coming in second and third, respectively. In the junior girls category, Kumari Radha Bali took first place, Sushila Karidih placed second, and Shivangi Sumitra Devi Vidyalaya finished third.
In the shot put events, Arvind Bali and Imran Nichlaul secured first places in the senior and junior categories, respectively. The high jump competition saw Alisher Bali win in the senior category, while Kajal Jahda topped the junior girls category.
District School Inspector Pradeep Kumar Sharma awarded medals, shields, and certificates to the winners. He emphasized the importance of sports in fostering a healthy body and mind and encouraged students to pursue their athletic talents.
Three Girls Selected for State-Level Kho-Kho Competition
Maharajganj: Three students from Saraswati Inter College, Anjali Yadav, Nisha Sharma, and Jyoti Gaur, have been selected for the state-level Kho-Kho competition. The district selection trials paved the way for their participation in the event scheduled for October 11, according to Deputy Sports Officer Dharmendra Kumar.
