Two migrant laborers were killed in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.
According to reports, terrorists targeted a camp housing workers from a private company involved in constructing a tunnel in the Gund area of Ganderbal.
Two workers were killed instantly, while two others were injured in the attack, officials confirmed. Security forces, including the police and army, have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers.
Jammu and KashmirтАЩs Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, expressed his sorrow on X, stating, “Heartbreaking news of a cowardly attack on non-local laborers in the Gagangir region of Sonamarg. These individuals were working on a vital infrastructure project. Two have lost their lives, and 2-3 others have been injured in this militant attack. I strongly condemn this attack on unarmed, innocent people and extend my condolences to their families.”
