On November 15, Varanasi will celebrate Dev Deepawali, with over 1.7 million diyas illuminating the ghats, ponds, and the Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The festivities will include a laser light-and-sound display at Chet Singh Ghat, a green firecracker show near Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and a cultural event at Namo Ghat. More than 1.1 million diyas will brighten the Ganga ghats, over 500,000 will be lit at 80 ponds and along the rivers Gomti and Varuna, and approximately 125,000 will glow at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The diya lighting will take place from 5:30 pm to 6:20 pm, followed by a five-minute firecracker display starting at 6:20 pm.
