The Delhi Metro is an essential service for residents of Delhi and the NCR, serving as a lifeline for daily commuters. Whether it’s traveling to school, college, office, or any other destination, the metro offers unmatched convenience. With the added comfort of air conditioning during the scorching summer months and the advantage of bypassing traffic jams, it remains the preferred mode of transportation for many.

In addition to these facilities, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a new feature: e-tickets. But that’s not all. The DMRC has now added bike taxis to its offerings, allowing passengers to continue their journey after getting off the metro. These bike taxis can take you directly to your destination, making commuting even more convenient.

You might be wondering about the cost and the stations where this service is available. Currently, bike taxis are available at the following metro stations:

1. Dwarka Sector 14

2. Uttam Nagar East

3. Rajouri Garden

4. Palam Metro Station

5. Kirti Nagar

7. Subhash Nagar

A special feature of this bike taxi service is that it prioritizes women’s safety and comfort. The service, known as Sheryds, is exclusively for women passengers, and the riders will also be women. This ensures a safe and comfortable experience for female commuters.

If you wish to use the bike taxi service, the fare starts at ₹10. After the initial charge, an additional ₹10 is added for every 2 km, and after that, every 8 km will cost ₹8. These bike taxis will operate between 8 AM and 9 PM and serve areas within a 3-5 km radius. You can book a ride via mobile apps like RYDR and SHERYDS.
