UDH Minister Jhabbar singh Khara faced a setback regarding the reinstatement of two police inspectors previously assigned to JDA (Jaipur Development Authority). Khara was pushing for their return to the JDA, but Commissioner Anandi firmly refused to reassign them.
The two inspectors, Sapna Poonia and Banwari Meena, were on deputation in the enforcement branch of JDA. Due to complaints, both were relieved from their positions at the JDA and reported back to the police department. Despite this, Khara insisted on their reappointment at the JDA. He initially sent a formal letter instructing their reinstatement, followed by a phone call to the JDA Commissioner (JDC). However, the JDC declined, stating that since the inspectors had already been relieved from JDA, only the police department could issue further orders regarding their deployment.
Khara has reportedly taken this matter as a personal challenge. Sources close to him suggest that if the inspectors are not reinstated at the JDA, it could lead to embarrassment for the minister. Since the Home Department is under the Chief Minister’s jurisdiction, the Director General of Police (DGP) could reassign them to the JDA, but so far, the DGP has distanced himself from the issue. It is rumored that Sapna Poonia is related to the minister, while Banwari Meena is also said to be a close associate. Both inspectors have been publicly accused of accepting bribes.
