On Wednesday, a search operation in the Badimarg area of Yaripora in Kulgam district led to a fresh encounter with terrorists. No casualties were reported on either side during the clash.—Let me know if you need additional versions or more rewording.

Kulgam, J&K: A fresh confrontation unfolded between security forces and terrorists in the Yaripora area of Kulgam district, South Kashmir, on Wednesday, marking the 11th encounter in the region over the past two weeks. Though no injuries were reported on either side during this specific operation, the region has seen intensified violence recently. These encounters, spanning across eight of Jammu and Kashmir’s 20 districts, have resulted in the deaths of 10 terrorists and one commando.

The rise in skirmishes coincides with the recent swearing-in of the National Conference (NC) government, led by Omar Abdullah, which assumed office on October 16 following the first assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir since the revocation of Article 370.

In the past fortnight, nearly daily confrontations have been reported in various districts, including Srinagar, Jammu, Kishtwar, Anantnag, Kulgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, and Bandipora. Of these encounters, six took place in the Kashmir Valley and two in the Jammu region.

Notably, on November 2, a clash in Khanyar, Srinagar, led to the death of top Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Usman Lashkari and left four security personnel injured. This was the first encounter in Srinagar in over two years, with the last having occurred in Nowgam in September 2022.

Most of the terrorists killed in these encounters are believed to be Pakistani nationals, according to former J&K police chief SP Vaid. He suggested that the surge in confrontations signals increased infiltration by terrorists across both the Kashmir Valley and Jammu region.—If you need more styles or versions, let me know.
