The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Monday that over 90 rockets were launched from Lebanon, targeting the Haifa Bay region, with some landing in residential areas. According to the Times of Israel, at least four people, including an elderly individual, sustained injuries due to these strikes.
The report mentioned that in the initial attack, approximately 80 rockets were launched. While most were intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems, several managed to hit populated areas. A second salvo of around 10 rockets followed, with some falling in open fields despite interception efforts.

Damage was reported to homes and vehicles in Kiryat Ata, where a teenager was also slightly injured by flying glass.
This attack represents one of the most significant rocket assaults on Haifa in the midst of ongoing hostilities with Hezbollah. In response, the IDF announced that a Hezbollah rocket launcher, responsible for the recent strikes on northern Israel, was destroyed in a drone strike.
