INS Trishul F43 on a joiint EE

The Indian Navy’s advanced stealth frigate, INS Talwar, arrived at La Réunion on Sunday as part of its current mission in the Indian Ocean Region.

This visit is aimed at strengthening the India-France partnership in regional maritime security efforts. During its time at La Réunion, INS Talwar will participate in cross-deck exchanges and joint interactions with the French Navy. On October 27, the vessel was also opened to Pravasi Bharatiya visitors, allowing them a closer look at the Indian Navy’s operational capabilities.

India and France share a longstanding strategic partnership built on common values and a commitment to regional security. Commissioned on June 18, 2003, INS Talwar is an essential asset of the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet under the command of Captain Jithu George. Recently, the frigate took part in the IBSAMAR VIII multilateral exercise in South Africa, emphasizing its role in international defense cooperation.
