Babygirl star Nicole Kidman receives admiration from her co-star Harris Dickinson for her boldness
Harris Dickinson, who stars alongside Nicole Kidman in the upcoming film Babygirl, praised the actress for establishing the atmosphere on set, especially during intimate scenes.
In an interview with Variety, Dickinson shared, “[Kidman] sets the tone on set and makes it so easy to be vulnerable and funny because she is so daring.” He continued, “She’s incredibly brave, and sometimes does things where you’re just like, ‘What the f–k was that?’ It’s something you wouldn’t even think of.”
The Iron Claw actor’s admiration for the Big Little Lies star came as he opened up about feeling “embarrassed” during one particular scene, which involved him dancing shirtless to a George Michael track.
Babygirl follows the story of a high-powered CEO who risks her career and family by engaging in a passionate affair with a much younger intern, according to the film’s synopsis.
Kidman has also discussed feeling “liberated” and safe while filming intimate scenes with Dickinson, crediting the presence of female director Halina Reijn. Speaking to People, Kidman said, “We would look at each other and go, ‘Okay.’” She appreciated the trust with her co-star and the security Reijn provided on set.
With Reijn at the helm, Kidman said, “You have your director telling you, ‘I will protect you. Nothing in the film will make you uncomfortable. You are going to be okay.’”
