After Jurgen Klopp’s Appointment, Red Bull Linked with Paris FC Takeover
Just hours after Jurgen Klopp was appointed as the head of Red Bull’s football operations, reports emerged linking the energy drinks company with a potential takeover of French second division club Paris FC. Sources indicate that discussions are ongoing between Paris FC and Red Bull, as well as the Arnault family, owners of the LVMH luxury brand.
Pierre Ferracci, the president and majority shareholder of Paris FC since 2012, has previously expressed a desire to pass on leadership of the club. Currently, Paris FC is making headlines by sitting atop Ligue 2, positioning themselves as a competitive force in French football, albeit overshadowed by their Qatari-owned rivals, PSG.
Red Bull already owns multiple football clubs, including RB Leipzig, FC Salzburg, and New York Red Bulls, and is also involved in motorsports, managing the Formula One team of reigning champion Max Verstappen. The potential acquisition of Paris FC would further expand Red Bull’s footprint in the world of sports.
